Cheap drinking, young crowd, and happening nightclub are all found at Buddah Bar located near the UH Manoa.
Buddah Bar is making a come back! It was previously shut down, but their being brought back because of popular demand. It's conveniently located in The Manoa Market Place on the second floor, behind Safeway. It’s known as the Thai Sweet Basil restaurant in the day and nightclub by night. Fridays and Saturdays are the two days they hold the nightclub events which have become very popular amongst college students. It has become the new place to drink beside Varsity, which is also a very popular bar amongst the UH Manoa students. You would see many of your fellow college students from all different schools. Buddah Bar has also become highly favored by many of the UH athletes and has become very popular.
Every weekend they host the event, it is promoted by numerous promoters. They usually have a theme to the event such as “CEO’s and Office Pro’s” where everyone could dress in some kind of business attire or any attire to match the event theme. 18 and over are welcome and cover is free before 11 p.m. and $5 dollars after 11 p.m with free parking. Drink prices are super cheap, running at $4 Wells, $5 Cosmos-Martinis, $6 Patron and Grey Goose. Dress Code is slightly enforced, for ladies it’s stylish and sexy attire and for guys, no hats, shorts, athletic wear, tank tops, and slippers. Bring a friend and hope to see you folks there!
